Our Story
Built from frustration
CheckHost started from a simple frustration: existing monitoring tools were either too expensive, too slow, or too limited in their free plans. We were running servers ourselves and needed something that could detect problems before our users noticed.
So we built it. We started with free network tools — ping, DNS lookup, traceroute, WHOIS — that anyone could use without signing up. Those tools grew organically to thousands of daily users.
Today, CheckHost monitors from 40+ locations across 6 continents, with alert speeds under 1 second. We serve over 2,000 active users — from solo developers to hosting companies managing hundreds of servers.
